Emerald Connect

In a hospital, time is an extremely valuable commodity.
UCSF Health reported that scheduling a single discharge transport took about 40 minutes before utilizing a coordinated transportation program.
At Fairfield Medical Center, nurses reportedly spent 45 minutes to an hour arranging an ambulance for emergency department transfer.
Emerald Connect is designed to reduce that coordination burden by letting hospital staff send one request to selected ambulance providers and getting live updates without the need for multiple phone calls or follow-ups.
Here's how it works. Create a new transportation request and enter the information.
Choose one or more ambulance services.
When a request is accepted, the status updates.
Once a unit is assigned by a dispatcher, they can update the board to let hospitals know a crew is on the way, and an ETA will appear on the board.
If transport is running late, your dispatcher can change the status to delayed and a new ETA will be provided.
If your facility has an agreement with one or more services, just select the providers in the preferred order
and set the notification interval.
The request goes out to the first provider immediately, then on to the next at each interval, until someone accepts.
No phone calls required.
For optimal visibility, keep your team informed at a glance with the Emerald Box.
Emerald Box turns a dedicated external display into a live transportation board that is completely independent.
No need to sign into anything or find a coworker to ask about transportation status. Just look at the board.
